    Overview: This distillery is a true gem in the Catskills. They offer award-winning spirits (seriously though, they’re top notch), daily tastings, and a killer cocktail and food menu on weekends May - November. They are open year round for tastings & shop sales so make sure to pencil in time for a visit.

    Pro Tip: Bourbon Cream + coffee = morning bliss. Pick up a bottle on the way to the house. You’ll thank us later.

    Overview: Let’s just say Pasta Bob is somewhat of a local legend. This Queens, NY transplant makes all of his pasta by hand using New York wheat and fresh local ingredients. While mostly known for his Italian dishes, we urge you to dabble in the ramen menu because it warms the soul.

    Pro Tip: reservations are HIGHLY recommended 1-2 weeks in advance because this place books up quick.

    Overview: One of our favorite spots! If you are looking for elevated comfort food accompanied by a carefully crafted cocktail, the Junction is your spot. Newly opened in 2021, the owners, Misty & Aaron, have created a warm and inviting environment and a menu that is sure to please your taste buds.

    Pro Tip: In peak season, they have a rotating Blue Plate Special that NEVER disappoints.

    Overview: This cozy riverside coffee shop boasts big flavors and beautiful views of the Beaverkill. The talented sister duo, Jessica & Jeannine, both graduated from Culinary Institute of America and crafted a simple yet delicious menu of breakfast items, baked goods, sandwiches, and rotating specials. They even worked with local roaster, Java Love, to develop a custom blend of coffee for customers.

    Pro Tip: The menu rotates seasonally but the quiche is always incredible. They occasionally have full quiches to-go that we love to grab when we are entertaining guests the next morning!

    Overview: Who knew you could get a little taste of Australia in the Western Catskills? A stone’s throw from downtown, this small boutique inn offers an intimate dining experience for guests. Owners, Sonya & Paul, present a menu featuring an eclectic mix of cuisines inspired by Melbourne’s diverse culture & food scene.

    Overview: This cozy spot encapsulates the charm of Roscoe as soon as you walk through the door. While their classic beers are always available, they also feature rotating seasonal selections. The food menu offers American comfort to compliment the crisp beers.

    Pro Tip: There’s just something about the sandwiches with the “nacho crumble” that hits different.

    Overview: Probably some of the best pizza in the Catskills. When we get in late on Friday nights (and the last thing we want to do is cook a meal), we call in a couple pies when we are 20 minutes from Roscoe. It ‘s a quick pick up on the way to the house!

    Pro Tip: We like to order pizzas well done for a crispier crust.

    Overview: Chances are when you tell people you’re going to Roscoe, their first response is “Oh, I know the Roscoe Diner!” This world famous spot has been a traveler’s oasis for over 50 years. The vintage diner serves up all of your favorite American staples.

    Overview: Biscuits galore! Our mouths water at the simple mention of The Walk In. The owners, Lily & Erin, bring their Southern roots to the Catskills through their delicious breakfast and lunch dishes. While we love making breakfast at the house, we highly suggest you drop a home cooked meal to experience the glorious comfort food at The Walk In.

    Pro Tip: The rotating weekly biscuit special is an absolute must.

    Overview: The carbohydrate dreams continue across the street at The Neon Croissant. As the sister restaurant to The Walk In, The Neon Croissant serves up buttery croissants (shocked?), assorted sweets, and lovely loaves of bread. It's the perfect place to stock up on baked goods before, during, or after your stay.

    Pro Tip: Everything is worth a try but the giant salted chocolate chip cookies are out of this world.

    Overview: Delicious Vietnamese food in the Catskills? Yes, you heard that correctly. Ba & Me has multiple locations and we're lucky to have one right down the road. The small but mighty menu is filled with fresh ingredients and big flavors.

    Overview: This quintessential market features breakfast & lunch dishes along with a variety of groceries from local farms, cideries, and breweries. We tend to get lost in the books, coasters, and Catskill merch while we wait for our order.

    Pro Tip: They typically stock trout in the fridge if you’re looking to sample a local delicacy. We like to prepare them on the grill with a little lemon & fresh herbs.

    Overview: Though Upward is a fairly new brewery, you would never know because the quality of their beers runs deep.  The craft selections are perfectly complemented by their takeout food offerings.  The vast property features a state-of-the-art building carefully decorated with retro decor, a sprawling outdoor space with various seating options overlooking the pond, and hiking trails on "Beer Mountain".  

    Pro Tip: Go hike beer mountain!  But first, grab a four pack of beers from the tasting room to reward yourself at the top.

    Overview: In an area where breweries are plentiful, Catskill Brewery shines with it's excellent brews and convenient location close to downtown Livingston Manor. Centered in a rustic yet state of the art LEED certified building with accompanying outdoor seating, Catskill Brewery continues to impress both locals and visitors alike.

    Pro Tip: If you're hungry, the Catskill Food Truck (stationed out front) offers excellent fare.

  • The Smoke Joint

    Overview: If you have a hankering for some good old fashioned BBQ, head over to Smoke Joint. This outdoor restaurant was a hotspot in Brooklyn for over 12 years but migrated up to Livingston Manor back in 2019, and boy are we happy they did! The seasonal restaurant is situated next to the Willowemoc River and right off route 17 for a quick in & out.

    Pro Tip: There's some pretty solid fly fishing water right under the bridge next to Smoke Joint for any anglers looking to sneak in a cast before or after they dine.

    Overview: When we first started venturing up to the Catskills, we knew that pulling ourselves away from NYC quality pizza was going to be an issue. Enter the Kaatskeller, a woodfired restaurant and bar in Livingston Manor, with unique pies and one of the best outdoor dining setups in the area.

    Pro Tip: Visit the Milkweed Oat Milk Gelato camper (open seasonally) right out front for a frozen vegan treat.

    Overview: The Tavern at The Arnold House transports you back to another time with its dark yet inviting atmosphere, jukebox, and woodfire stove. If you're looking for a lighter & brighter environment, put in a to-go order and bring it over to their greenhouse.

    Pro Tip: We like to order a cocktail and head out to the firepit or hit a quick hiking loop before we grab a bite in the taproom.

    Overview: The Conover Club is situated within Callicoon Hills resort. There's a nostalgic retro vibe to their decor inside while their outdoor porch almost makes you feel like you're in the Hamptons. This is a great upscale option for a night on the town!

    Pro Tip: We typically head over a little early to sneak in a cocktail and a quick board game session in before our reservation.

    Overview: Catskills foodies unite at The DeBruce. They offer a multi course tasting menu in the dining room that is sure to impress the most discerning taste buds. While it is on the pricier side, it's a great way to spend a special occasion. For a more relaxed vibe, you can head down to their club room for a cocktail and small bites.

    Pro Tip: Add the wine pairing to accompany the tasting menu to round out the experience.

    Overview: With it's ideal climate and growing conditions, they say New York State is to cider as Bordeaux is to wine. Wayside Cider lives up to this esteemed comparison with a variety of small batch ciders made from locally harvested apples. Though a little further from the house, the ciders, food menu, and atmosphere make Wayside a must visit.

    Pro Tip: We like to stock up on a case or two for riverside sips back at the house. Ask them about case discounts before you make your purchase.

    Overview: Yes, we know it's far BUT the ambiance alone is worth the trip! This instagram worthy architectural landmark was restored from it's pump house roots to a social gathering hotspot. This seasonal outdoor jaunt boasts food trucks, local beers served out of shipping container bars, and live music on the weekends.

    Pro Tip: They host a variety of immersive events onsite. Check their event calendar to see if there's anything lined up for when you are in town.

    Overview: If you find yourself exploring the Delaware River area, the Cochecton Fire Station is a worthwhile stop. After a few unique cocktails (try the Hook & Ladder Punch) and delicious bites (Crispy chicken thigh & skirt steak are our favorites), you'll be fueled up and ready for whatever the great outdoors have to throw at you.

    Pro Tip: Grab some premade frozen containers of mac & cheese to bring back home.
